DOT issues travel alert for southeastern North Dakota

Bismarck, ND (WDAY TV) - The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued a Travel Alert for the southeastern region of the state.

Bismarck, ND (WDAY TV) - The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued a Travel Alert for the southeastern region of the state.

Blowing snow in southeast North Dakota is leading to reduced visibility, with some areas of near zero visibility. Cities in the travel alert include Fargo, Wahpeton and surrounding areas.

Motorists are encouraged to reduce speed and drive according to current road and weather conditions. Conditions at this time are such that motorists can still travel in the areas under the alert, but should be prepared for rapidly changing conditions.
