St. Paul, MN (WDAY TV) - You couldn't have scripted a better finish to the annual hockey day Minnesota.
The event was hosted in Elk River yesterday, and late last night, Elk River's own Nate Prosser, scored the game-winning goal for the Wild in overtime to defeat the Dallas Stars, 3-2.
It was Prosser's 3rd career goal, but his 2nd game-winner in as many games.
“Our forwards were having a heck of a fore-check there. I was just going to the net and the puck just bounced out to me, so it was perfect.”
“We are all competing and playing well. It's hockey day and fans were great today. We just wanted to give it a good show for them.”
Also, congrats to the NDSU dance team for winning it's 3rd straight national championship
for its pom routine down in Orlando, Florida.
Neat stat: Peyton Manning will try to win a Super Bowl in his brother Eli's home stadium in New York, 2 years after Eli won the Lombardi trophy in Indianapolis, which was Peyton's home building at the time.
