Fargo, ND - Authorities lifted the no-travel advisory for eastern North Dakota on Friday morning, including Grand Forks and areas north of Fargo.

The region is still under a travel alert because of scattered snow drifts and ice on roads as well as reduced visibility due to blowing snow, the state Department of Transportation said in a statement.

The cities included in the travel alert are Fargo, Jamestown, Valley City, Wahpeton and Grand Forks. A travel alert means that motorists can travel, but should know they may face difficult driving conditions.

In Minnesota, road conditions in the west central part of the state ranged from fair to good, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation website.
