FARGO – Police here have identified a suspect in a recent armed robbery at a payday loan store, as well as two people wanted for questioning.
About 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, officers searched a home at 2138 58th Ave. S. in Fargo trying to find Valeri Dida and Nyantey Gaylah, people of interest in the Jan. 7 robbery of the Mister Money store at 3051 25th St. S., said Lt. Joel Vettel of the Fargo Police Department.
In that holdup, two masked men walked into the store, and one of them displayed a silver pistol. The descriptions of the robbers were similar to two gunmen who robbed the Mister Money store at 1613 E. Main Ave. in West Fargo on Nov. 12. Vettel said police are still trying to determine if the cases are linked.
On Wednesday, police went looking for Dida, 22, and Gaylah, 25, both of Fargo, after receiving information through the investigation into Tuesday’s armed robbery at Casey’s General Store in Horace. In that case, police arrested 24-year-old Randi Fritze and 19-year-old Rodrick Dida in Fargo.
Vettel said Rodrick Dida is a suspect in the Mister Money robbery. His relation to Valeri Dida, if any, was unclear.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Valeri Dida and Gaylah is asked to call Fargo police at (701) 235-4493.
