Travel alert issued for northeastern North Dakota

Grand Forks, ND - The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued a travel alert for northeastern North Dakota because of snow and blowing snow that is reducing visibility and icy road conditions.

Grand Forks, ND - The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued a travel alert for northeastern North Dakota because of snow and blowing snow that is reducing visibility and icy road conditions.

Cities included in the travel alert are Grand Forks, Grafton, Pembina, and surrounding areas.

Motorists are encouraged to reduce speeds and drive accordingly. Conditions are such that motorists can still travel in these areas, but should be advised of rapidly changing conditions, according to a news release.

All travelers are encouraged to monitor road conditions as weather conditions occur and use caution while traveling.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is reporting difficult driving conditions throughout northwestern Minnesota.
