Charlotte, North Carolina (WDAY TV) - The final two spots for NFL's version of the Final Four were on the line Sunday.

And for San Francisco, it was a chance to make it to the NFC championship for a third consecutive year, Carolina trying to reach the title game for the fourth time in franchise history.

This is Greg Roman, the 49ers offensive coordinator, and possibly the next Vikings head coach; the team reportedly interviewed him yesterday in Charlotte.

San Francisco trailed 7-6 just before the half, but that's when Colin Kaepernick hit Vernon Davis for the score, he was ruled out of bounds initially, but that got overturned after review.

Jim Harbaugh wasn't pleased with the original call, 49ers up 13-10 at the break.

Later Kaepernick scores on the ground, San Francisco advances to the NFC title game with a 23-10 win, next up is a trip to Seattle.
