Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -It's another busy night on the basketball court, and we're quickly finding out that the Heart O'Lakes conference might be wide open.

Five of the seven teams are .500 or better in conference play so far this season.

Hawley is one of those teams, the Nuggets are 4-6 overall, but 3-1 in the HOL after a big home win against Perham on Tuesday.

Tonight, the Nuggets travel to Pelican Rapids and the winner takes sole possession of first place in the conference.

Jed Carlson, Hawley Head Coach: “Ryan Bruggeman is an outstanding player, but they have some great players and he just makes them go. We're going to have to be ready for it. If we want to win the conference, we'd like to contend for the section and that starts now. We have a chance to be at the top of the Heart O'Lakes conference by the end of the week. I'm really happy with our guys staying positive and staying with it and believing in it.”

Jordan Harms, Hawley Junior Forward: “I think our bench is the deepest in the conference. We have guys that don't start on our team that would start on a bunch of other teams. It's just good to know that you have that kind of bench.”
