Hawley, MN (WDAY TV) - A rural Hawley home is in ashes tonight after a blaze that had three fire departments on scene.

A mail carrier on his delivery route called in the fire around one o'clock.

By the time firefighters arrived, the century-old farm house was already fully engulfed and the roof was starting to collapse.

The owner of the home, Dewayne Clark, says he is thankful his wife and 5-year-old daughter were not inside at the time.

And says the biggest loss is the young girl's belongings.

Dewayne Clark/Owner: "All of her toys, all of her clothes. Everything is gone. And that's the biggest loss. As adults, we can move on and rebuild. But for her, that's all she's ever known.">

The family is safe, and have other housing arrangements.

The fire marshal will be on scene tomorrow to investigate.
