Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Dennis Rodman's bizarre basketball diplomacy continued today in North Korea.
Rodman led a group of former NBA players as they joined North Korean athletes for an exhibition game.
Rodman dedicated the game to his "best friend" North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, in honor of Kim's birthday
The Americans played against the North Koreans in the first half of the game and merged teams for the second half.
Rodman sat next to Kim during the second half.
Charles D. Smith/Former NBA Player: “I questioned whether we were doing the right thing because of the media scrutiny.”
There was hope that Rodman might use his relationship with Kim to help gain the release of Kenneth Bae, an American missionary who was arrested there more than a year ago.
Bae's sister said today it's clear that Rodman "has no idea what he's talking about"
