Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Monday was a record breaker and not just when it came to temperatures.

The regional AAA office in Minnesota got 3,000 calls, an all-time record.

AAA provides roadside service.

Here in the F-M area, the volume for service calls is two to 3 times higher than average for this time of year.

Gene LaDoucer/AAA Spokesman: "The weather is playing havoc on the vehicles as well as drivers and their behavior. Unfortunately, a lot of them are finding the ditch. And we've been out there responding to a lot of calls. I can't say it's a record number but it is certainly an uptick."

AAA says that uptick includes the entire Midwest region.
