Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The outgoing chair of the Clay County commission says the state of the county is very good.
Wayne Ingersoll handed over the Chair to fellow commissioner Kevin Campbell, but not before giving the State of the County Address.
Ingersoll says the County is in good shape financially, and has excellent employees.
Ingersoll also talked about the biggest topics the board will look at in the New Year from dealing with the city's biggest and still growing expense of social services, to finding funds for a new jail.
Wayne Ingersoll/Clay County Commissioner: “Not today or not tomorrow but the day after. We're talking 30-40 million dollars. It's all local money. Nothing comes from the state or federal government. And we are going to have to have this down the line.”
The Board also established its 2014 Meeting schedule and elected Jon Everett as its Vice Chair.
