Dangerously cold temperatures are moving to the South and East

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The dangerously cold temperatures we're dealing with are starting to move from the Midwest to the South and East.

Temperatures in New York plummeted 35 degrees in ten hours with the wind chill making it feel like 16 below zero.

"It was painful, I feel like my fingers are going to crack and just burst into a million pieces.. ha..ha."

Lake Michigan looks like a hot tub with the water far warmer than the cold air.

The deep freeze turned fountains into ice sculptures in the deep South.

It's also been a frozen nightmare for travelers.

500 AMTRAK passengers got stranded last night when their trains got stuck in huge snow drifts.

And Jet Blue is back flying again after cancelling all its flights Monday.
