Entz named NDSU defensive coordinator

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Now on the opposite side of the ball, there's not as much turnover as you might think, Matt Entz will take over there where 10 players return that have started games, including three in the secondary, and Entz is excited to work with what has been recognized as the best defense in FCS for the past three seasons.

Matt Entz/New NDSU Defensive Coordinator: “How hard the kids play, they get kids from the upper Midwest who love football love Bison football and that was the thing most appealing to me being able to be a part of the culture here.”

You and Chris each have the Northern Iowa background; you've seen how that rivalry has built up over the last 3 years, what will be like for you when they play in November?

Entz: “I think the timing is even probably more heated contest being in mid-November it will be exciting, I'm from there and will have a large contingent of people there who are wearing green and gold and pulling out their John Deere clothes, it will be fun.”

Klieman said Monday that Grant Olson will join as a student assistant next year, also senior tight end Kevin Vaadeland tweeted Monday night he will return next season after he was granted a sixth year of eligibility after missing all of 2010, Vaadeland had eight touchdowns this season.
