Frisco, TX (WDAY TV0 - A Pep Fest will bring more than 10,000 Bison fans out to fill a minor league ballpark in celebration another championship caliber season.
With some fans will be wearing Bison gear from head to toe.
Ah, Texas. It has just about everything a Bison fan could ask for. But, what if you're looking to stock up on little spirit wear right before the game? I mean, there's not a Bison store alongside the road.
"Oh, wait. Yes, there is. "
The NDSU Bookstore brought a whole trailer full of goodies and 8 employees down to Plano, Texas and set up a sizeable shop in a hotel lobby.
We're not just talking t-shirts and hats; although they have those in spades as well.
Darlene Mattingly/NDSU Bookstore: "We have everything, from caps to warm gear to golf stuff to cowboy boots."
Yes, in true Texas fashion custom made cowboy boots.
Amy Artz got her pair for Christmas and says she plans on trekking this herd all over the Lone Star State.
Amy Artz/Bison Fan: "I'm wearing them. All day, all night. Wherever I'm at in Frisco, the boots are there."
And they won't be alone-because it's not just that you're seeing Bison faithful at every turn in this tiny piece of Texas it's the sheer amount of team bling they're wearing.
Artz: "It's fantastic! It's awesome for the people who lost their luggage, too. Right?"
Clayton Farmen/Bison Fan: "Never can have too much Bison gear, that's my philosophy."
The store stays busy, especially when it comes to selling items of one team color in particular.
Mattingly: "Everybody is looking for gold, so, it's been a run on gold and it's been hard to keep it here."
But that demand has turned into literal gold for the bookstore and figurative gold for the fans.
Artz: "It's fantastic! It's awesome for the people who lost their luggage, too. Right? Ha!"
