Frisco, TX (WDAY TV) - It won't be long now before a sea of green and gold fills Toyota Stadium for the FCS championship game on Saturday.
Both NDSU and Towson are in the middle of a busy couple of days.
Hi everyone and welcome back to Frisco, it was team picture day for NDSU.
What a wild last twelve months it has been for Moorhead product Chase Morlock and fellow freshman Nick DeLuca. Just last year, they were watching NDSU as high school seniors. On Saturday, they'll be playing for the Bison in the championship game.
Chase Morlock/NDSU Freshman RB: “It has been a crazy couple of months here. I'm just excited to be here, seeing everything here is amazing. I can't even describe in words. I've been just driving around and looking around thinking about how last year I was playing in high school and now we're right here. It's hard to put your mind on.”
Nick Deluca/NDSU Freshman LB: “I just remember watching it on TV last year. I was just starting to get recruited by NDSU. I didn't think too much of it. I was thinking, well, we'll see. Maybe someday that will be me. It's really a blessing to come this far with this team. I never would've thought I'd be here where I am. It's definitely just a great experience overall and it's just really fun.”
Cole Jirik/NDSU Senior DE: “Just take it all in. My first year I didn't take it all in because we thought we'd be back here. This is my last year; I want to make sure I take it all in and those guys take it all in and really enjoy their time here.”
Morlock: “I really set my goal high, I wanted to play right away. I came into fall camp and worked hard. I wanted to be part of this. This is what I came here for. I wanted to play in national title games. That's what we do at NDSU and I want to get out there and play this game.”
