Casselton, ND (WDAY TV) - Just after 3 Tuesday afternoon, Casselton residents were allowed to return home after being told to evacuate Monday evening.

Authorities urged residents to leave amid concerns about the toxic smoke.

Toxicology reports are showing the level of poisons in the air are not nearly as high as when air quality crews first arrived in the middle of the night.

Dr. Alan Nye- Toxicology: “We have not detected any of the products of combustion like carbon monoxide and or sulfer dioxide or nitrogen dioxide that could come from burning curd oil.”
