As we continue to bring you our favorite stories from 2013, we look back to November when the Food and Drug Administration took the first steps to phase out Trans fats.

Grocery goers get ready.

Soon you could say so long to several fat filled items on your grocery lists.

"I’m all for it"

"They're watching it and pulling it or whatever they may do."

Mike Wiedenmeyer/Moorhead Shopper: "I just suffered a heart attack on September 6th. Now my wife helps be check the labels."

For the shopper Who likes some sweet with their salty, frosting would be done too.

You know what that means- no more funfetti for me.

Wiedenmeyer: "If I would've known things I know now, I think things would've been a little different.”

Wiedenmeyer: "By the time they find out it's too late.”

Currently, the FDA is running a 60-day comment period, before determining a phase-out timetable.

If its determination goes through, artificial Trans fats could not be used without approval.
