Green Bay, WI (WDAY TV) - It's been a little less than two months since Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone and played quarterback for the Green Bay Packers in a game.

The wait is over, head coach Mike McCarthy announced that the MVP will start Sunday.

The Packers play the Bears this weekend, which ironically is the last team Rodgers played against.

It's been a long road to this point for Rodgers and his teammates, but he says this is a good day and he's ready to go.

Aaron Rodgers/Green Bay Packers Quarterback: “Tough period, but excited to be back in the mix with the guys with a chance. You know a fun day for me but I think the focus needs to be on this game and the opportunity we have to win the division which is our first goal every year. We are in it; we have a chance against our rivals. What a better way to go down there and get some redemption and host a home playoff game.”

The winner on Sunday between Green Bay and Chicago will win the NFC North title and clinch a playoff spot.
