The "United States of Shame" was a viral sensation, once again, making the social media rounds this fall.

In North Dakota - we're apparently ugliest.
According to '50 states’ North Dakota has the ugliest residents in the United States.
Mirror, mirror on the wall who's the fairest North Dakotan of them all? According to the source referenced in the study its actress Angie Dickinson. But there has to be at least a few examples that refute the study."
Ultimate Image Model and Talent Management says it not only has examples but also the hardware to prove the distinction as bunk.
Natalie Sparrow's agency recently won "Agency of the Year" at the Launch Showcase in Chicago featuring agencies from every major city in the U.S. and Canada.

But what about the everyday folk you see on the street?
Who better to judge than the largest population on the prowl: college students.
"I think everyone here is pretty decent looking."
Kelsey Buehrer/NDSU Student: "I don't honestly think many people stop in North Dakota. And when they do come here it's frigid and we're all in our parkas."
Every person I spoke to thought the study was groundless. And as for the reason an outsider would think it true:
Emily Driscoll/NDSU Student/Fargo resident: "Some people might see less dressing up and less makeup as ugly."
Beauty may indeed be in the eye of the beholder.
