Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The New Hampshire football team arrived in Fargo this afternoon and got its first look inside the Fargodome.
Sean McDonnell's team held a quick hour long walk-through trying to acclimated to what will be the loudest environment they've played in this season..but they do have some experience inside domes, in 2007 and 08 they faced Northern Iowa in the postseason.
Sean McDonnell/UNH Head Coach: “It was that kind of feeling walking into the place. Playing in the Georgia dome last year with 10,000 people kind of… well, I’ll let you know tomorrow night with 19,000 Fargo Fans here for how we feel but it’s a great place. What a wonderful opportunity for our guys to be able to play in a place like this. We handle okay there, I’m expecting we’ll be fine. I think our kids understand what we have to do. The last two years, Montana State was loud but from what I hear – loud’s not loud until you get into this place.”
Sean Goldricdh/UNH Sophomore Quarterback: “Unreal, you know this is one of the nicest places that I’ve ever gotten a chance to step into. It’s gonna be an awesome environment tomorrow, I’m looking forward to it.I guess today was a little nice knowing that we could actually talk to one another and hear each other and what we’re saying – cause from what we’re hearing it’s gonna be pretty crazy tomorrow… especially 3rd and 4th down situations.”
We're about 24 hours from kickoff, full day of coverage planned beginning at 5 from the Fargodome, live reports in all of our newscasts, also the pregame show on WDAY.com, the live blog on inforum.com at 5:30 as NDSU and New Hampshire battle for the right to go to Frisco.
