Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - Your name on a building, that's something you don't see, unless you're former Senator Keith Langseth.

MSUM dedicated the science laboratory building to Langseth Thursday afternoon, complete with a ribbon cutting ceremony in the atrium.

Langseth served the Minnesota senate for 32 years.

MSUM is honoring Langseth for being a pioneer of science during his time in the senate, helping to secure funds for the $21,000,000 science building that now bears his name.

Keith Langseth/Building Dedication Honoree: “you know I’m a high school graduate farm boy and just a lot of things happened to me throughout my life that were somewhat extraordinary and here we are today.”

Langseth also received an honorary doctorate degree from the University.
