Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Christmas is about a week away, and Santa isn't the only one with a to do list.
Between buying gifts and basting the turkey, it can be easy to mistake stress for the spirit of the holiday season.
"Come on back there."
"You can stay here with Santa."
"Good lord it is such a busy season!"
"Getting the house cleaned up with my wife."
"Get at the, get at the sales."
"All the presents for the kids are bought."
"You're my buddy."
"Everyone is trying to get around you know.”
“Make sure the shoveling is done."
"Even though it is stressful out there everyone has the love and spirit.”
"You shop, you shop, you think that you are done, but you go home and you remember you forgot something.”
"Ham, you have to have ham, and yams.”
"No, no I don't know how to cook.”
"There are so many things.”
"My wife is cooking.”
"I have to dip my hands into my pocket and then I do most of the shopping, you know. Drive around, do whatever it takes to make the holiday happen."
"But it is a glorious and joyous holiday.”
"It's going to be just a blessing.”
"There was a lot of physically getting ready for it. I went from never working out to working out about five days a week. I had to start doing push-ups. Twenty in the morning and twenty at night. I'm going to basic training. I love Christmas. I love the season and everything, but I'll have one next year."
"An American girl doll? That would be really really nice.”
"Have a good time with your family and friends.”
"How's my big girl?"
"And don't stress yourself out because shopping never ends!"
"Merry Christmas and happy new year."
"Wow that was good!"
