WEST FARGO – Federal authorities are offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the conviction of two masked gunmen who held up a West Fargo pawnshop in November.
The robbery took place on the evening of Nov. 12 at Mister Money, a pawnshop at 1613 E. Main Ave. that provides payday loans and cashes checks.
The St. Paul office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives announced the reward Tuesday.
“ATF is committed to combating violent crime and will utilize all of ATF’s resources to target these reckless violent offenders and solve this crime,” Special Agent in Charge Scott Sweetow said in a statement.
A surveillance video shows the two robbers pointing semiautomatic handguns at two clerks as they lie on the floor behind the counter. No one was hurt during the holdup, and the robbers left with an unknown amount of cash, the ATF said.
The day of the robbery, West Fargo police said the men were both about 5-foot-6 and had dark skin. One of the guns was black, and the other was silver, police said.
The robbers wore dark clothing and had accents that suggested they were of East African descent, the ATF said.
Anyone who can identify the men or knows their whereabouts is asked to call the ATF at (701) 293-2860 or Crime Watch at (701) 241-5777.
