Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - We won't be bragging to our friends in Arizona or Florida, but it sure felt balmy outside Monday.
It's been two weeks since the temperatures been above 30 degrees.
The "heat wave" is making some winter jobs a bit easier.
After braving last week’s chilly temperatures, this is what everyone has been waiting for, especially those folks out there removing snow.
Aside from sights like this and the familiar sounds, Monday was... Different.
Bryce Kulas- Snow Removal: "I'm having fun out here in this weather. It's no problem; I like it."
At times, it was as if people forgot what the sun felt like.
If you've been slipping and sliding to work, your commute could soon be more manageable.
The warm temps also allow salt and brine placed on the roadways to work.
Mark Williams- Fargo Public Works: "Feels pretty good today compared to the last month."
Our coolest day out of the past two weeks: A high of 8 below.
Snow still blankets the ground, but the day's warmth offered an opportunity for city snow removal crews to literally hit the pavement.
Williams: "Any time it gets to about 10 to 15 degrees, the snow pack starts breaking up more and gives us the opportunity to be able to scrap that off the existing pavement."
More than 20 crews spent the day operating sanders, plow trucks and road graders.
Enjoying the mild reprieve; if only for a day or two.
