Bison Players React Positively to Kieman being named head coach

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - This past week has been a whirlwind for the Bison players wondering who was going to take over this program, but today they got the news they were waiting to hear, that Chris Klieman would be promoted to head coach.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - This past week has been a whirlwind for the Bison players wondering who was going to take over this program, but today they got the news they were waiting to hear, that Chris Klieman would be promoted to head coach.

Ben Lecopmte/NDSU Sophomore Punter: “We were all excited, ecstatic, lot of bounce in locker room right now, we can't wait for future for guys coming back we're excited and for seniors, they're happy for Coach Klieman know it’s something that he wanted and for the current players so excited that it stayed within program and knows what Bison pride and knows what it takes to be a winner and lead us for next 2 years and for the guys in the back of the room for the next 4 years.”

Christian Dudzik/NDSU Junior Safety: “I think the guys preferred Coach Klieman because we're comfortable with him, knows he's an excellent coach just uncertainty with outside guy, guys are happy with Coach Klieman.”

What did you see with Chris to say he's the guy we want to be at the front door of our university?

Gene Taylor/NDSU Athletic Director: “I think you saw that today with press conference has calming approach brings to that team and team in transition and with a cupboard that's not bare.”

What do you foresee biggest challenge going forward into the new season in 2014?

Chris Lieman/New NDSU Head Coach: “We gotta finish this thing we started this season and then moving forward from that getting a staff making sure the commitments are set all those things will be things I start working on be some juggling every head coach has to multi-task.”
