Klieman's family just as excited as he was about getting head coaching position

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Coach Klieman wasn't the only one excited today.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Coach Klieman wasn't the only one excited today.

A whole troop of supporters turned out to the press conference, introducing Chris Klieman as NDSU's new head coach.

Including, staffers, teammates, the media and Chris's father, bob...who says his son is ready for his new role.

The family is from Waterloo, Iowa where Klieman began his career in football at his high school.

There he worked hard as a quarterback and free safety, two titles which earned him all state.

And since then he was hooked.

After graduating from UNI Klieman moved onto coaching.

A job - his father was skeptical of.

Bob Klieman/Chris Klieman's father: "you're not going to make any money doing this. You may have a lot of fun but you're not going to make any money. But that wasn't even a concern of his. He's always loved football.

It's that passion which Gene Taylor says made Chris Klieman the right man for the job.
