Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A speeding driver is to blame for an accident on Highway 10 tonight that sent two people to the hospital and left firewood strewn on the highway.

It happened shortly before 6 on Highway 10 east of Glyndon.

A woman in an SUV heading west tried to pass a vehicle using the right lane. She rear-ended a pick-up truck hauling a trailer of firewood. The truck was traveling 10 miles an hour below the posted speed limit.

State troopers say ice was not a factor.

Trooper Mark Peterson: "Just need to slow down and stay off the cell phones so you can see what's ahead of you so you have time to react in case someone is not going the speed limit. And it is a legal speed that he was going, so he wasn't at fault on this."

The woman driving the SUV, along with one of the passengers in the pick-up, were both taken to Essentia with non-life-threatening injuries.
