Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A student editor at the NDSU Spectrum wants fans to keep it classy on Saturday when Coach Craig Bohl takes the field.

Bohl accepted the head coaching position at the University of Wyoming last Saturday.

Spectrum Sports editor Sam Herder says he's noticed fans on social media and blog sites, recruiting others to boo the departing coach during TOMORROW's upcoming playoff game.

It prompted Herder to write his last column of the semester, in defense of Bohl.

Sam Herder/Sports Editor, NDSU Spectrum: "I think the cheers will be louder than the boo’s. It's just that sometimes, when, you know, this collective group of people decide to maybe yell some stuff or boo, I think that it will just show some arrogance on the fans part. Especially when ESPN is in town."

Instead of booing, Herder suggests frustrated fans cheer the program's accomplishments under Bohl.
