No one hurt in plane mishap at Dickinson airport

DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — No one was hurt when a twin-engine airplane aborted a takeoff and slid off the runway at the airport in Dickinson.

DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — No one was hurt when a twin-engine airplane aborted a takeoff and slid off the runway at the airport in Dickinson.

The Highway Patrol says the pilot realized something was wrong Thursday afternoon, aborted the takeoff and applied the brakes. The Avanti P 180 plane slide to the end of the runway and into a grassy area, losing a wheel in the process.

The Piaggio Aero Industries plane was heading to Scottsdale, Ariz., with seven passengers.
