Wahpeton, ND (WDAY TV) - It's never too early in the season to make a statement to the rest of the conference and that's what both Davies and Wahpeton looked to do tonight, each with high preseason rankings of 2 and 4 clashing tonight in Wahpeton in front of a packed house, both hoping for big things come March.

Wahpeton, ND (WDAY TV) - It's never too early in the season to make a statement to the rest of the conference and that's what both Davies and Wahpeton looked to do tonight, each with high preseason rankings of 2 and 4 clashing tonight in Wahpeton in front of a packed house, both hoping for big things come March.

Early on Davies' Andrew Kozlowski sweet no-look bounce to Ahmed Hirsi Kozlowski also had 21 points and 10 boards.

Back for the Huskies, the preseason favorite in the EDC, according to The Hoopster Blaise Irwin rebounds his own miss and scores he led the Wahpeton with 17 Huskies led by as many as 11.

It went down to the wire and Eagles come out with the 73-69 win.
