Fertile, MN (WDAY TV) - A disagreement over Christmas decorations the public school in Fertile, Minnesota is drawing attention to the debate over Separation of Church and State.

Earlier this week, the head cook at Fertile- Beltrami School was forced to remove Christmas decorations in the cafeteria after being reported by a faculty member to the superintendent.

However, a school board meeting overturned the decision and the decorations were allowed: along with religious decorations from other faiths.

Barbara Miller/Fertile, MN Resident: "I think it's perfectly fine, it's for the children. It's for the children, they enjoy it. Now, if it was adults-- they can make up their own minds. But for children, the decorations are part of the holiday."
