Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The Davies boys basketball team has high expectations this season.

A year ago, the Eagles finished third in the EDC and third at state with an 18-7 record.

Bart Manson's team returns three players with starting experience, including two of the best guards in the state in Tanner Kretchman and Andrew Kozlowski.

Both were top ten in the EDC in scoring and assists a year ago and should be even better as seniors.

Bart Manson/Davies Head Coach: “It really is pretty difficult to get into offense and control tempo and to be able to do the things that we want to do without guards and we have two real special ones with Andrew and Tanner and they have such great insight too, much like having two coaches on the floor. We got guys who can put the ball in the hole and stuff but kinda just how we are gonna finish defensive plays.”

Andrew Kozlowski/Davies Sr. Guard: “Last year we were pretty weak on defense and it hurt us in some games. Coach Manson has really really stressed defense and how important it is this year after last year so we all got the right mind set it seems going into this year.”
