Fargo man pleads guilty in copper theft ring

FARGO – A Fargo man has pleaded guilty to conspiring with three others to steal copper wire in record-setting amounts from two Fargo businesses.

FARGO – A Fargo man has pleaded guilty to conspiring with three others to steal copper wire in record-setting amounts from two Fargo businesses.

Elvis Hasimovic, 28, pleaded guilty Monday in Cass County District Court to four counts of criminal conspiracy, all felonies.

Hasimovic was charged with four other men in the April 8 and Feb. 25 copper wire thefts from Dakota Supply Group and Fargo Electric. The Dakota Supply Group theft involved 26,000 pounds of copper wire, valued at $112,000.
