Public vote slated for $125M Minot bond issue

MINOT, N.D. (AP) — Minot voters will go to the polls to decide whether to approve a $125 million bond issue for new school construction.

MINOT, N.D. (AP) — Minot voters will go to the polls to decide whether to approve a $125 million bond issue for new school construction.

The Minot Daily News reports that if the bond issue is approved Tuesday, it would increase school property taxes for the owner of a $200,000 home by about $460 per year.

The $125 million school bond issue would raise money for a number of projects, including a new 550-student elementary school on 10 acres of land already owned by the district.

The bond issue requires 60 percent or greater voter approval to pass.
