Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The cold was not enough to put Bison tailgaters on ice.
It's a quieter scene than you usually see outside in the Fargodome tailgating lot on game day.
But head inside one of the many tents and it's a party.
These hardcore fans were first in line to get in waiting since midnight last night.
Matt Sturlaugson/Bison Fan: "We have tailgated every single home game. We weren't going to miss out on this one."
To deal with the cold, they brought six heaters, and a custom-made tent, Matt Sturlaugson sewed it together himself.
"Come on in, it's sunny and 70 in here!"
The group is actually a combination of three die-hard tailgaters who joined forces at the beginning of the season, now they call themselves the Three Musketeers.
Bare Grondahl/Bison Fan: "It's been a weird marriage since the beginning of the season. Us three guys met in line for the first time at the very first game this year."
A layer of packed snow on the ground inside the tent and ice forming on top of chilled beverages served as reminders of the bitter cold outside, but they say it's worth it.
Todd Hennum/Bison Fan: "This is something historic. We're going for a three-peat here. This is once in a lifetime."
Mandii Sturlaugson/Bison Fan: "It's a fun family tradition, it brings the whole city together and it's a whole heck of a lot of fun."
