Minneapolis, MN (WDAY TV) - Leslie Frazier announced today that in all likelihood Matt Cassel will start Sunday for the Vikings against Baltimore as Christian Ponder hasn't passed his concussion test.

Which means Josh Freeman will be the backup, and that's the closest he's been to the field.

Since he started against the Giants on October 21st and turned in one of the worst performances in Viking history.

He hasn't played since; he did have a concussion, but says he doesn't regret signing with Minnesota.

Josh Freeman/Vikings Backup Quaterback: “I don't think there's any concrete reason they want me to get more fluent and understand the system, watch a lot of film, end of year I'm a free agent regardless, have an opportunity to choose a team earlier this season and picking the Vikings, great place, great people staff from top down, but that's something I'm not concerning myself with right now.”
