Minneapolis, MN (WDAY TV) - The Minnesota Twins have been pretty active so far in free agency and today they introduced one of their new acquisitions in Ricky Nolasco, who signed the richest free agent contract in team history, four years, 49 million dollars.

Nolasco is a strikeout pitcher; he won thirteen games last year between the Marlins and Dodgers and knows what's going to be asked of him, becoming the Twins ace.

Ricky Nolasco/Signs with Twins: “I’m taking it as whether one through five, whatever number you are in the rotation, you just go out there and you take the ball every fifth day. In the big leagues I think a lot of guys give you an opportunity to win as long as you are out there so I’m not putting any pressure on where I am in order of the staff. Taking the same mindset I have over my whole career and taking the ball every fifth day and being ready to compete.”

The Twins also signed free agent pitcher Phil Hughes from the Yankees, they appear still to be in the market for a catcher after Joe Mauer moved to first base.
