Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The Holidays are about more than just candy canes and jolly Santas, and some local businesses demonstrated that Monday with humble acts of charity.

For the 19th year in a row, Slumberland donated brand new beds Monday morning to those in need in the F-M area.

Slumberland usually donates around 35 beds, but with a good year of business, nearly 50 beds were able to be given.

Slumberland worked with the Salvation Army and Knights of Columbus to identify those in need, and each bed came with free bed sheets compliments of Wal-Mart.

For one recipient, a new bed means his daughter can now rest peacefully.

Pema Tamang- Charity Bed Recipient: "I thought this is good luck. I got a bed from there, so I was so excited waiting to see them today here; so I'm so happy to get a new bed for my daughter."

Along with a bed and sheets, handmade quilts were also donated.
