Fargo, ND - League champion North Dakota State took home two of the four major individual rewards in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. Craig Bohl was named Coach of the Year and senior quarterback Brock Jensen was named the Offensive Player of the Year.

Bohl led the Bison to their first undefeated regular season since 1990 and the conference title was the third straight. Jensen is the FCS record holder for career victories with 44. He passed for 2,076 yards and a school-record 26 touchdowns this season while leading the league in total offense and passing efficiency.

South Dakota State linebacker Tyler Starr was named the Defensive Player of the Year and Youngstown State running back Martin Ruiz was voted the Newcomer of the Year and the Freshman of the Year.

NDSU has a first-round bye in this weekend’s first round of the FCS playoffs and will host the winner of South Carolina State and Furman on Dec. 7.
