FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Top-ranked North Dakota State has drawn the top seed for the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs.

The Forum reports that NDSU earned a first-round bye and will host the winner of South Carolina State and Furman in the second round at 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 7. The Bison have never played either team. Furman is based in Greenville, S.C.

The Bison are 11-0 and are guaranteed home field advantage throughout the playoffs if they keep advancing. The FCS championship game will return to Frisco, Texas in early January.

The Bison took the host route in winning the last two FCS national titles.
