Denver, CO (WDAY TV) - Debilitating Concussions are often felt long after athletes leave the field.

But for one teen, they actually had a positive side effect, Lachlan Connors’ new musical talent has doctors asking some serious questions.

Lachlan’s first passion was sports: football and lacrosse.

A series of concussions sent him to the hospital for weeks, before the concussions, a young Lachlan had tried unsuccessfully to play piano.

Elsie Hamilton/Lachlan’s Mother: "I would say can't you hear what's next Mary had a little lamb, twinkle twinkle little star and he'd say no."

When he got out of the hospital, Lachlan suddenly could play music almost effortlessly.

Now he says he can play ten to thirteen instruments, solely by ear.
