TRENTON, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Health Department says nearly all of a 500-barrel crude oil spill near Trenton has been recovered.

The agency says it happened at a rail transfer facility and 477 barrels were contained. About 20 barrels did reach the surface of the ground just outside a secondary containment structure.

Hiland Partners LP, which owns Hiland Crude LLC, reported the spill.

The Health Department says it has an inspector on the site to monitor the response and cleanup activities.

It says all of the released oil was contained within the company's site and no water was contaminated.
