Grand Forks, ND - A Grand Forks prosecutor said she has laid charges against three men and a woman in the early Sunday stabbing death of Ruben Cisneros Jr., 33, at his home northwest of Grand Forks International Airport.

Carmell Mattison, assistant state's attorney for Grand Forks County, said this morning that she is charging Joe Saucedo, 21, with Class Double AA felony murder. She says Saucedo took a knife from his pocket and stabbed Cisneros several times about 1 a.m. Sunday during a break-in burglary.

Saucedo is "not from this area," she said just before going to a briefing from investigators in the fast-breaking case.

The murder charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.

She also is charging Saucedo and three others, including a woman identified as the victim's former girlfriend, with conspiracy to commit burglary, a Class B felony: Jennifer Blue, 23; Vincent Gladue, 24; Thomas Begg, 23.

The three men were arrested Sunday in Polk County and remain in the regional jail in Crookston, Mattison said. Their extradition will take some time.

Blue is in jail in Grand Forks and will appear at 3 p.m. today on the burglary charge, Mattison said.

Blue also faces felony charges related to her alleged use of false identities last month in attempts — three times within 24 hours — to obtain morphine and other drugs at Altru Hospital.

Joel Cisneros, 27, younger brother of Ruben Cisneros Jr., said Blue had lived in their house while she was Ruben's girlfriend. He said he was with his brother when he died Sunday from stab wounds to his chest, abdomen, chin and arms.

Three men kicked in the door of their home shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday and said they were there "for Jennifer's stuff," he told the Herald. He said he heard Blue's voice in the background and figured she was one of two people he saw waiting in the men's pickup truck.

Mattison said a 16-year-old girl accompanied the four people she is charging.

Blue is from Belcourt, N.D. She is scheduled to appear later this week on the October drug charges.

Mattison said she has prosecuted Gladue and Begg previously.

Cisneros said the men appeared to him, and sounded like, American Indians. He said he told Grand Forks County Sheriff's deputies who arrived shortly after his brother's death that he knew Blue was behind the incident.

The three men took two Honda cars from the driveway at the Cisneros house. In previous court documents, Blue indicated she owned a 1998 Honda Civic.
