Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Every high school football fan in North Dakota had one thing on the brain today: Dakota Bowl 21.

And WDAY has been along for every snap and play so far; through three championship bouts, but the grand finale is still yet to come.

The energy is not only building for the 3A championship rematch featuring Fargo South and Bismarck, but also for our broadcast.

This is the first time in a while that WDAY has broadcasted the championship games, and we're doing it in a big way.

"Everyone up for the kickoff."

Today is the day all North Dakota prep football teams had circled on the calendar.

"C'mon, boys!"

The game for all the marbles. Under the lights. On a field of champions. In front of enthusiastic hometown fans...

"Run!"

...living and dying with each high...

"Come on, Sioux! Let's go, Sioux!"

...and low.

"Come on, hun... garr!"

But it wasn't just a big day on the field.

"For the first time in North Dakota state history, its championship football games are coming to you live in high definition, thanks to the WDAY production team."

"Stand by, one. Take one."

"Spinning free, look at this!"

And if you're a high school sports fan, buckle up.

"Touchdown!"

"Ready Blue, roll Blue."

Because WDAY will be giving the same crystal clear treatment to the state's hockey and basketball championships this winter.

"The Cavalier Tornadoes are state champions!"

All with the intended goal of making a championship moment...

...win-win for players and the fans.

So, even if you won't be packing the dome, you can still have the best seats in the house without even having to change the channel.
