Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - What would you do with $3 million? For Governor Dalrymple, the answer is: Invest.
Dalrymple was presented with an investment check today by Gate City Bank; the money for North Dakota's Housing Incentive Fund.
HIF helps provide low-cost housing for service workers and low to moderate income households.
The donation pushes the fund past the halfway point of the $20 million goal.
Steve Swiontek- President, Gate City Bank: “We felt it was important to set aside and contribute to this incentive fund so that we can help and assist individuals whether they're social service workers or fire departments; ambulance workers who have a need for this type of housing.”
Gate City Bank has donated more than $2.7 million in Fargo and Jamestown since June.
