Friday's matchups at the Fargodome start with the 9-man title game, featuring Cavalier vs. Westhope-Newburg-Glenburn. Cavalier is trying to cap an undefeated season. Westhope-Newburg-Glenburn lost in last year's Class A championship game, before moving down a class this year.

In this year's Class A matchup, unbeaten and defending champion Hazen is looking to repeat against Milnor-North Sargent.

Wahpeton and Bismarck St. Mary's square off in the Class AA game.

In Class AAA, Bismarck is looking for its 29th straight win and third consecutive state crown. The Demons take on Fargo South. The Bruins were the last AAA team other than Bismarck to win a state title.
