Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Moorhead High has the reputation of staging star-power fall musicals, and this year is no exception.

Tomorrow night, Jesus Christ Superstar opens on stage at Moorhead Senior High.

Andrew Lloyd Weber wrote the lyrics 40 years ago.

It follows the final seven days of Jesus Christ, through the eyes of Judas. The classic rock opera being staged at Moorhead High will be presented with some added political satire and humor.

A 25-member pit orchestra and 120 young artists will stage "Jesus Christ Superstar.”

Moorhead high senior Drew Swenson brings a new perspective to the role of Judas. Drew comes from Jewish heritage.

Swenson: “I think it's great we have this culmination of all these different races, religions, all into one program. Not just preaching you have to be Christian, Buddhist, Jewish, but telling a story.”

The Moorhead High musical runs through the end of November. More ticket information at our easy link tab on WDAY.com.
