Prosecutors say they also confirm the convicted sex offender was mentally competent when he killed Sjodin 10 years ago this month.
The documents give chilling details on how Rodriguez chose Sjodin as his victim and how the final hours and minutes would play out, as she fought for her life.
And by his own account - he reveals multiple times that he didn't kill her by accident, as he previously stated.
The 416 page motion was filed by Federal Prosecutors in U.S. Court this morning as part of his final death row appeal.
Within the document - detailed interviews performed by medical experts who spoke to Rodriguez in June
Examiners concluded Rodriguez does not have a developmental disorder and was not insane when he killed Sjodin.
They say Rodriguez explains how Sjodin was trying to fight him - it was then he says quote, "and she just kept on fighting and I - I was holding her by the neck. And in our - in our twisting and me squeezing her, I heard a crack and she stopped moving." end quote.
