St. Paul, MN (WDAY TV) - The Minnesota Wild are the hottest team in the NHL these days 7-1-1 in their last 9 games, but yet sit fourth in their division.

The Wild host Toronto at the X tonight, as Nik Backstrom returns to the net.

Minnesota is doing it on both ends of the rink, they are second in the league in power play percentage and third overall in goals against, but Mike Yeo wants more.

Mike Yeo/Third Year Wild Coach: “The first times were different points might not be completely happy but watching that game again, there were some areas we could have been a little better. We had a few guys that probably weren't at the top of their game, but we also did a lot of things really well. If you’re going to have that kind of record the last nine games, you’re doing a lot of things right and we have been. It’s our job as a staff that you don’t start to drop or start to lose the detail in your game or start to get away from the things that have had success and that’s a challenge and that’s our challenge.”

This is the start of three straight home games for the Wild.
