Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - It's Dakota Bowl week for eight football teams left playing in the state of North Dakota.
The hard work of starting practice in mid-August is about to pay off in mid-November.
Fargo South is back in the title game for the first time in three years.
And while the running game gets plenty of attention, it's the big play ability of Ty Brooks that's been a game breaker for the Bruins. Brooks hauled in a big 38-yard touchdown reception against Minot and has been a game changer all season for South.
Zach Kellen- South Senior Quarterback: “It's a huge advantage having someone who can stretch the defense with his speed having him run going deep; everyone watching for him. They know how fast he is; really helps out the run game and expands the defense for us.”
Ty Brooks- South Junior Running Back: “Zach has been doing a great job of taking advantage of air game when James isn't feeling up to it, so we can put it up in the air, too.”
